This will be the last session of pregnant pictures for Baby Seuss. Gotta love those stretch marks and veins - YIKES!
I've enjoyed this belly - it looks fake which is amusing. And it has Baby Seuss in it, which was something we've wanted for a long time. It's done its job well and if the sunburned feeling is any indication, it desires to deliver its occupant to me soon. It has even kindly gone numb on the most stretched out part. So, now I cook sideways - just in case the belly were to come into contact with the burner. I'd never know until my shirt caught fire. But it has served it's purpose well and I've earned a bikini twice over now. Well done belly.

the new hair
So, Flannery has been practicing scissors skills and for the second time in her life, has decided that cosmetology is her thing. She was supposed to be picking up all the pieces of construction paper that were under the table. She seemed so diligent that I didn't notice that the scissors had gone under the table with her. Later on, when I went into the dining room to pick up the pieces that she'd missed, I got down on my hands and knees and then almost burst into tears. There, lying in little handful size piles, was my baby's hair. Okay, I know she's not my baby anymore, but still, she's only ever had a trim and that was hard enough. I looked over her head and sure enough, we couldn't have even put in a pigtail. I even tried using bobby pins and it wouldn't hold. There were little chunks cut out all over her head. And that is the story of how Flannery got new hair. Which, of course, we think is very cute and will probably keep for a while.
